The Person Behind the Artist

A Little About Me!

Hi! I'm Julia and I am just a girl who loves to perform and create art. I am a Fall River, Massachusetts Native who has always grown up with a love for singing and dancing. I began my theatrical education at On Stage Academy of Performing Arts at the age of four and I am now working towards of Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at Dean College. I love being able to tell a story that touches an audience through music and movement.

At Dean, I have also had the opportunity to not only explore my passion for performing, but choreography as well! I hold a special place in my heart for creating stories through all forms of dance that an audience can love and that dancers love doing. I began choreographing in children's theatre productions, then brought my creative joy for choreographing my own pieces with collegiate level dancers at Dean. I later brought my interest in choreography working as an Assistant Choreographer at Stagedoor Manor this past summer where I discovered a new love for theatrical dance education. While auditioning for professional and collegiate productions while balancing my course load in my final year at Dean, I can be found exercising my new passion for dance education teaching musical theatre dance to children ages 9-15.

Performance

I am on track to graduate with my BFA in 2025, where I have been a part of many theatre and dance productions! Most recently, I have been seen on the MainStage this season as a Featured Dancer in She Loves Me (dir. Gabrielle Carrubba) as well as Assistant Dance Captain/Featured Ensemble in RENT (dir. Ali Angelone)

Choreography

This past year, I have finally brought my love for choreographing to Dean. I had the privilege of being the choreographer of the Class of 2027's New Thespian Showcase where I was able to work with phenomenal dancers for a spunky dance break to "I Feel the Earth Move" by Carole King. I also choroegraphed my own piece to "Dancing Through Life" from Wicked at the Joan Palladio School of Dance's Collaboration Showcase this Spring.
